History of ASR
Enterprises
It was 1972 in Maryland when Phil Walter was approached by what was, at the time, a relatively little known company here in the United States.
After decades as an industry giant in their native markets, they were looking to expand into North America. Phil took the offer and it was then that
ASR Enterprises LTD was created, and a close relationship that has lasted over 30 years between ASR and TOA Electronics was forged. Built on
the fundamental belief that a Representative Firm must provide solutions as well as sales, ASR continued to grow as its line card offerings expanded.
In 1986 Pat Foley joined ASR, and took over operations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
In 1995 Pat purchased ASR. Realizing the accelerated growth of technology and the future of 'systems integration', Pat expanded ASR's core
belief that in addition to sales and solutions a Representative Firm must also provide technical support and assistance.
In 1997 Brian Griswold bought into ASR and joined Pat as a business partner. His extensive background and knowledge of the AV industry expanded
ASR's ability to address the Audio-Visual markets.
Since then, ASR Enterprises has continued to evolve at a rapid pace and is now positioned among the top Manufacturers Representative Firms in the nation.
Because we see a convergence of Sound, Fire, Security, CCTV, Data, and Video industries, ASR has positioned itself to provide our customers with 'system solutions'. A synergy exists within the lines that we represent. We are continually seeking lines that add to our approach. ASR also has the expertise to cover the Retail Markets.
The strength of ASR comes from its employee's diverse areas of expertise and experience. This affords ASR
the unique opportunity to provide total support in the Professional Sound, Retail,
Audio Visual, Sound Contracting, and Systems Integration
markets.
